plants in the nightshade family (Solanaceae). Adult food: Nectar from flowers including Japanese honeysuckle (Lonicera japonica), petunia (Petunia hybrida), bouncing bet (Saponaria officinalis), tobacco (Nicotiana), and phlox (Phlox). Habitat: Tobacco fields, vegetable gardens, and wherever host plants are found. |
